The English forward Voices Intention to Stay at the Catalan club After Temporary Period Concludes

Marcus Rashford in action

The striker has registered 138 finishes in 426 matches for his former club

Marcus Rashford wants to remain at the Spanish giants when his loan agreement from the English side finishes in the coming months.

The Catalan club have the opportunity to purchase the English striker on a full transfer for £28m - a reduced fee than the forty million pounds the Red Devils would seek from any other side.

The 27-year-old's Old Trafford contract runs to twenty twenty-eight but he looks to have uncertain prospects at Old Trafford while the manager is in charge.

"Definitely," Rashford told the broadcaster when inquired if he wanted to remain in Spain. "I'm enjoying this football club and I believe for anybody who loves football, this club is one of the important franchises in the history of the sport. For a professional it is an honor."

He featured the latter part of the previous campaign at Aston Villa, where his performance was revived under Unai Emery.

He increased his goal count to 5 in a dozen matches for Barcelona thanks to a double against the Greek side in the Champions League on this week.

The attacker, who is scheduled to appear in his first derby against Los Blancos this coming Saturday, feels he is profiting from a different setting.

"People forget this, but over two decades of my career was with the club. So at times you just need a shift. I feel maybe this is the case with me and I'm enjoying everything."
