Barça Set to Play Historic Match at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday

Barça revealed they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Bilbao team in La Liga 30 months following their departure for construction to commence.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach over 104,000 attendees, increasing from the former 99,000. The club said recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel plus modern locker rooms.

Stadium Testing

Barça organized a public practice at the Camp Nou in early November. Officials stated they were hoping for permission from Uefa to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt next month at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
