On Monday, the tribunal was told phone records and data recovered from phones documented Ms Wandelt persistently requesting Madeleine's mother for a DNA test throughout 2023 and 2024.

Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - when she was three years old during a trip in Portugal - is considered the most publicized missing child cases and is still unsolved.

'I Don't Want Money'

A separate voicemail, shared in court, captured Ms Wandelt declaring: "I know I'm heavy and not pretty like Madeleine used to be, but I believe what I know."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's monologues with Mrs McCann's answerphone said: "Suppose there is a small chance that I'm her? What happens next? Wouldn't that be important for you?"

"I don't want money, I have a existence here in Poland, I just want to discover," the message continued.

The jury was told that through electronic messages, SMS messages and calls, Ms Wandelt demanded a biological test, forwarded early photographs to her phone in a effort to demonstrate a similarity to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and stated to have "recollections" from a childhood with the McCanns.

Robert Jones, an investigator with Leicestershire Police who compiled the evidence, advised the court there "showed no any replies" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore reached out to acquaintances of the McCanns, as per the phone records.

On 9 October 2024, Mr McCann picked up a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, declaring she had "the wrong phone."

During that incident Ms Wandelt recorded a voicemail on Mrs McCann's recording stating "I will continue and I plan to establish my position."

The court was informed Mrs Spragg struck up a connection via internet with Ms Wandelt before assisting her on a visit to the McCanns' property in Leicestershire in that winter.

Phone records revealed Mrs Spragg had reached out via WhatsApp to Mrs McCann to express the press had depicted Ms Wandelt as "emotionally disturbed" but that she should be taken seriously in the months preceding the trip to that location, Leicestershire, in December 2024.

The court learned correspondence between the two individuals, in November 2024, considering endeavoring to obtain Mrs McCann's biological evidence from her trash or from utensils at a restaurant.

"We must assert ourselves," the co-defendant told Ms Wandelt.

On the night of the visit to their home, Mrs Spragg dispatched a text which expressed: "We're currently positioned adjacent to the McCanns' house with our vehicle dark resembling detectives. I had hoped to do this with another person I didn't imagine I would be engaged in this with the McCanns."

The case proceeds.
